Vegg Club meeting #6

Todays meeting we talked about Campaignes we want to start. Our first campaign is a vegetable garden. The purpose of this campaign will help people learn how much chemicals friuts and vegetables have. We can talk about how much better REAL organic tastes. And since we will be working with environmental club we will talk about how much pollution is atmited into the air when its being transported into different places.
   On another side note we want to put ourselfs more out there so our vice president Oscar will work on an article for the newspaper. Wish us luck on our first campaign!

How To Start A Club At School

Recently i started a club at school. I’ve been getting so many comments but as well many questions. I want to help people start their own club at their school. (preferably animal rights related)
*how do i start a club at school?
Well in my school i had to write the purpose of the club. My club is called Vegg Club and i wrote that we aim to promote vegan lifestyles through events, workshops, activities, and most importantly meals. I wrote saying i was presidentand about membership composition. The students who go don’t have to be vegan but if you only want vegans in your club thats up to you. The point i made was we want to establish vegan outreach in my school. Once you’re done with the constitution you can get it approved by the leadership at your school or principle. Then you get the word out about your club with flyers or by talking to people.
*what if nobody goes?
Trust me i was afraid nobody was going to show up! Before lunch in my chemistry class all i could think of was i should cancel the meeting or the club. I did not want to humiliate myself if only a few people came. But i had quite a good number of people to go! It was great! And one important thing is i think you shouldn’t exclude any non-vegans because in my club only one vegetarian was there. The rest ate meat and i had no problem with that. People actually said they wanted to try veganism or go vegetarian. And i got the chance to talk to people about animal rights. To get tje word out about your club make flyers or talk to people in your class. Take action!
*i’m to shy to start a club.
Trust me i’m very shy. Like i said i was thinking of canceling Vegg club because i was nervous. Once i staryed talking i got confident because veganism is something i strongly belive in and if you do to you’ll feel confident being able to speak to people about it. When i use to talk about veganism in class people always joked around about it but in your club the people that go want to hear what you have to say. I was so happy everyone was super interested. I’m glad i made the choice to start it because i feel that it will help me grow as a person.

Animals Matter

Unseen they suffer,

Humans aren’t the only species on earth
We just act like it.
Take out the blindness, show a little kindness,
Evolve up the ladder, get concious- animals matter.
